Patients visit me for a huge variety of reasons such as back pain, postural problems and headaches as well as for sports injuries, pregnancy care and for the treatment of babies. My youngest patient to date has been 2 days old, and the oldest 103! My approach is suitable for all, and I would be delighted to discuss how I may be able to help you.

I often work closely with other professionals such as podiatrists, physiotherapists, midwives and lactation consultants to allow a fully holistic approach.

Having previously practiced in a variety of busy, stressful locations including city centres and in doctors surgeries, I wanted to create a therapy space that was calming, easy to get to and beautifully tranquil.  My private studio is a haven of relaxation, complete with a skylight and garden views. Patients always comment how they can’t wait to return!

At a consultation with me, you will be given the luxury of time. I do not buy into the idea of a one in, one out style clinic, as that is when patients feel rushed and are given a poor service. My ethos is simply to provide excellent value and treatment, and enable patients to leave feeling better than when they arrived! I aim to equip patients with facts about their particular complaint, and always explain things in an understandable way.

Your Appointment

In my experience, new patients can find visiting an osteopath a rather daunting process, but I like to make sure that an appointment with me is as straightforward and relaxing as possible. I will ensure you have clear directions to find me, and you will be able to park right outside on my private drive. One of the biggest concerns is what to wear – I would recommend leggings or sports shorts and a vest.

An initial appointment will include talking through your case history which includes details such as your medical history, any accidents and your symptoms. Details of your medication is always useful to bring.

I then do a thorough physical assessment which might involve gait analysis and some simple movements, and if necessary medical and neurological screening.

I will then treat you using whichever techniques I believe will give you the best results. You will always be treated on your first appointment, unless I have detected an underlying issue that might need medical attention first, or if I believe Osteopathy would not be suitable for you.

To get the most out of the treatment, I will prescribe you specific exercises or give you advice on how to manage your complaint.
